The Filipino Fellowship
Our Filipino group meets for Bible study and fellowship (usually with a buffet meal) in the Howard Williams Lounge after morning service each week. Recent studies having been based on Giving and Tithing by Larry Burkett. The group also meets occasionally at friends' homes.
Most people in this ever-growing fellowship are separated from their families back in the Philippines and life in London is not easy for them. They therefore value their fellowship together as it is a source of friendship and mutual help. But they are also increasingly part of the Bloomsbury fellowship. Many of the group are members of Bloomsbury and all play an active part in the life of the church.
Several members of the fellowship help regularly with Open Doors, serve lunches and coffees, and do cleaning "blitzes" in the kitchen or before major events. They also support the church through Friday prayers. |
